» ‘In my world, Commander, when everyone knows who you are, you haven’t done your fucking job.’

» ‘I’d rather live with an eternity of lies than a second without my son.’

» ‘I might have a shadow on a line. Are you interested?’

» ‘People just know instinctually, don’t they, if they’re good or bad. Why don’t you?’

» ‘I have to tell you something: this past three years I’ve been living a lie and I came to a point where I decided I’d do anything – anything – to make it stop.’

» ‘Stop it, Jonah. Stop always hedging your fucking bets. When are you going to want something – want something so much – you can’t bear to lose it?’

» ‘When both the cops and the criminals begin to look like kids, it really is time to leave the game.’

» ‘If Khokar’s happy enough to have my arse stripped out, whatever he’s got to hide must look like a whole fucking abattoir.’

» ‘You’re in the game now.’ – ‘Better than being on it.’

» ‘There’s a phrase people use for this. It’s funny; it’s…“fuck you”. Yeah, that’s it. Fuck you.
