It’s not just the recently confirmed Mondasian Cybermen that will be back in this year’s Doctor Who finale.
The BBC has also announced this afternoon that Michelle Gomez will return in Steven Moffat’s two-part story as Missy, the current incarnation of the Doctor’s nemesis and childhood friend, the Master.
The finale is now filming in Cardiff, directed by Rachel Talalay, who also helmed Missy’s first full story in 2014. ‘Dark Water’ and ‘Death in Heaven’ also featured the Cybermen, although fans will have to wait and see whose side Missy is on this time.
Michelle Gomez is back as Missy in either Season 10’s sixth or seventh episode too.
12 new episodes of Doctor Who have been filming in Cardiff since June 2016.
