Broadchurch star Jodie Whittaker has revealed that David Tennant is back for the crime drama’s second series, but is still unaware if she’ll be in it.
Series 2 was announced by ITV last April and is expected to begin filming later this year.
Speaking exclusively to CultBox today, Whittaker commented: “I know Olivia [Colman] and David [Tennant] are back, but [the producers] haven’t told us anything.”
She added: “They don’t want us to know anything so that we can’t spoil it if we are back!”
Whittaker is currently appearing in new firefighting drama The Smoke, airing at 9pm on Thursday nights on Sky1 and released on DVD on Monday 14 April. She plays Trish, the girlfriend of Kev (Battlestar Galactica‘s Jamie Bamber), a good man injured and betrayed during the worst fire of his career.
David Tennant is currently filming the US remake of Broadchurch in Canada.
