Line of Duty creator Jed Mercurio has revealed that he once discussed writing a Doctor Who episode with Steven Moffat.

Mercurio, currently promoting the third season of Line of Duty arriving on DVD, exclusively told CultBox: “I know [Doctor Who showrunner] Steven Moffat pretty well and we talked about it a long time ago, but it wasn’t something that ever really materialised as a proper idea.”

He added: “I know [new Doctor Who showrunner] Chris Chibnall very well and good luck to him, but it’s not in my plans.”
