Series 6 begins on Saturday 23rd April on BBC One. Official episode synopses for the first two episodes were issued by the BBC yesterday.

As revealed last month, Episodes 1 and 2 are confirmed as ‘The Impossible Astronaut’ and ‘Day of the Moon’.

The previously untitled Episode 3, written by Steve Thompson (Sherlock), will be called ‘The Curse Of The Black Spot’, while Neil Gaiman’s Episode 4 is confirmed as ‘The Doctor’s Wife’.

Episode 5, the first half of Matthew Graham’s two-parter, is confirmed as ‘The Rebel Flesh’, but the title of Episode 6 is now ‘The Almost People’, not ‘Gangers’ as originally reported.

Showrunner Steven Moffat’s Episode 7, the final episode before the summer break, will be titled ‘A Good Man Goes To War’. Previous rumoured titles for the episode were ‘Demons Run’ and ‘His Darkest Hour’.

Issue 433 of Doctor Who Magazine is available in shops tomorrow, with four collectable covers.
