Hit & Miss star Karla Crome has described her character in the upcoming fourth series of Misfits as "a tough cookie".

Crome will join the Misfits cast as Jess, alongside Nathan McMullen (Shameless) as Finn, replacing original cast members Antonia Thomas, Iwan Rheon and Lauren Socha.

Speaking exclusively to CultBox, she revealed: "I suppose Jess says what she thinks and can see through people's bullshit. Because she's so straightforward she gets frustrated when people aren't honest with her. She's a tough cookie but she’s quite vulnerable too."

The actress admitted: "Obviously I have big shoes to fill following on from such popular characters ... It's been great to do some comedy - I've never done it before, I always assumed it wasn't my strong point. My character is very dry at times and it's fun to play with."

Series 4 is currently filming and will air on E4 later this year.
