Sky1 has released a set of promotional photos from Hustle creator Tony Jordan’s new drama series, Hooten and The Lady.

From the makers of Death In Paradise and Dickensian, the eight hour-long episodes follow the nail-biting escapades of maverick adventurer Hooten (Michael Landes), who teams up with fearless historical expert Lady Alexandra (Ophelia Lovibond) to travel the globe in search of hidden treasures from the past.

The series also stars Jane Seymour (Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman), Jessica Hynes (W1A), Shaun Parkes (Da Vinci’s Demons) and Jonathan Bailey (Broadchurch).

Jordan commented last year: “This is an incredibly ambitious show which I hope will be appointment to view television for a discerning drama audience on Sky 1. Seat of your pants adventure is the glue but Hooten and the Lady is all about these two amazing characters. We will be bringing a movie of the week to our audience with the highest production values and we are elated to have found Michael and Ophelia to bring our stories to life.”

Ophelia Lovibond added: “I’ve never played a full-on action role like The Lady before, so I’m really looking forward to getting my teeth stuck in.”
