Maddy and Rhydian meet for the first time. Maddy has been living in Stoneybridge for years with her wolfblood family. She’s been taught to conceal her special abilities and keep her family’s secret, even locking her parents in the cellar on the full moon.

Rhydian is a foster kid, and until he starts at Maddy’s school he had never met another wolfblood and thought he was the only one. He’s wary of Maddy and she’s fearful of him: not realising that he has been fostered she thinks his family are invading her territory. When she finds out the truth she tries to explain their heritage to him, but is still worried he will give them all away.

Maddy has kept her wolfblood secret from her best friends Tom and Shannon her whole life, which makes things difficult when Shannon becomes obsessed with the idea there is a beast on the moors, not realising it’s likely to be Maddy’s mum or dad!

Episode 2
Tuesday 11th September 2012

Maddy’s mum worries that Rhydian is growing up in care with no wolfblood support, and invites him round for dinner so they can tell him more about his heritage and how he can blend into human society. But the dinner doesn’t quite go as she hoped – he is shocked to learn that they are locked up each full moon and thinks it’s restrictive and unnatural. Not only that, Maddy learns for the first time that there are wolfbloods living in the wild who are dangerous, hating both humans and ‘tame wolfbloods’.

Meanwhile Shannon thinks she finally has proof of the ‘beast on the moors’. She has a photo of a wolf and puts up posters of it all around the school. When her proof mysteriously goes missing Shannon is distraught and the laughing stock of the school, so goes on a mission to get a new photo. After her parents’ revelation Maddy suddenly realises she is in terrible danger, as the wolf in the photo is a wild wolfblood.

Episode 3
Monday 17th September 2012

Today is the school art exhibition and everyone has drawn pictures on the theme of family. Rhydian’s is a picture of a lonely boy, with silhouettes of parents in the distant background. When the families arrive though, it’s obvious that lots of kids have problems with their parents, including Tom’s dad who doesn’t turn up and Jimi’s dad who ignores his artwork.

Overnight the exhibition is trashed, pictures are ripped and Katrina’s mum’s jacket, which she brought in as her project, has been ruined (and she didn’t know she’d borrowed it!) Jimi spreads rumours that it was Rhydian, so Maddy, Shannon and Tom go on the hunt for the real vandal. Who has a grudge against Rhydian?

Episode 4
Tuesday 18th September 2012

Maddy’s first change is rapidly approaching, as are her exams, which isn’t a great combination! Keeping her secret is becoming more and more difficult, especially when it causes her to break promises to her friends and be short tempered with them.

Under extreme pressure in the first exam, the stress gets too much for Maddy and she starts to transform. Rhydian senses this and causes a distraction by breaking the fire alarm which only makes the situation with Shannon and Tom even worse.

Episode 5
Monday 24th September 2012

It’s the full moon and Maddy is anxious about her first transformation but also bursting with the energy that a full moon brings. The school are on a day trip to the historic isle of Lindesfarne, but Maddy and Rhydian are feeling cramped in the ancient stoney ruins and are not looking forward to spending the night in the den…

During the day Maddy and Rhydian have itchy feet and manage to ditch Tom and Shannon – much to Tom and Shannon’s annoyance! Tom thinks that Maddy and Rhydian must be dating, and Shannon, post fire, is convinced that Maddy is the beast. They decide the only way they are going to find out the truth is to stick to Maddy and Rhydian like glue.

Episode 6
Tuesday 25th September 2012

Following her transformation, the wolf energy is still strong in Maddy’s blood: she gets carried away in assembly watching the street dance club and joins in their routine. She is fantastic, which puts Kay’s nose right out of joint! Everyone now thinks Maddy is cool, especially Dean Samuels, the cutest boy in school! Rhydian tries to warn her that after the first transformation things can get a little crazy and that she almost transformed when she was on stage. Shannon noticed these changes as well…

Kay really fancies Dean Samuels, so the 3 Ks invite Maddy to their party on Saturday night (something they would never normally do), hoping Dean’s interest in Maddy will get him to come. Maddy is loving this new found respect but Shannon points out that the 3 Ks are blatantly using her. Angered by this argument, Maddy heads home and gives herself a bad girl make over. Will this all end in tears?

Episode 7
Monday 1st October 2012

It’s the day of the dark moon, and Maddy and Rhydian have lost all of their wolfblood powers, which doesn’t bode well for Shannon trying to prove that Maddy is the beast…

Stuck in detention, mischievous Maddy decides to have some fun and gets Rhydian to join in. While Mr Jeffries slips out, they take the school trophy and hide it on the school roof – Maddy accidentally cuts herself whilst doing this.

Maddy is exhausted, her cut isn’t healing, the plaster won’t stick and her parents won’t let her off school! In biology they study evolution and suspicious Shannon gets the idea to analyse Maddy’s blood to find out what she really is.

Episode 8
Tuesday 2nd October 2012

Animals have been going missing around the village and Shannon thinks that the beast is back so wants them all to go beast hunting. Maddy isn’t keen to go, wanting a wolf-free night, but when Shannon tells Maddy that her mum is sending her to a psychiatrist because of her beast fixation she finally agrees as she feels guilty.

Maddy has a cold and so Shannon gives her a herbal remedy to make her feel better, but it contains Wolfsbane, which brings the wolf to the surface. Rhydian has to try and control the partially changed, food-obsessed Maddy and Tom gets jealous, thinking he is trying to keep her separate from her friends!

Episode 9
Monday 8th October 2012

It’s full moon again and Rhydian is due to spend a practice night in Maddy’s family’s den. On their way to school, Maddy and Rhydian sniff out some stolen goods, sports gear hidden in the woods, and they take a few t-shirts for themselves, Tom and Shannon.

Shannon doesn’t want hers as it’s not ethically made, and so Rhydian ends up selling it to Kara, which sparks lots of orders for the t-shirts. Maddy warns him to stop, but he feels he has to make his own way in the world.

When the police catch up with him and lock him in the cells for the night, it looks like he’s going to make his transformation in the police station! Can Maddy rescue him in time?

Episode 10
Tuesday 9th October 2012

Maddy, Rhydian, Tom and Shannon are hanging out in the woods when Tom notices someone (or something) spying on them. Maddy and Rhydian catch the scent… the wild wolfblood is back! Later, though, they hear about a homeless woman who has been sleeping rough in the woods. Could the two be connected?

On the way home, the homeless woman stops Rhydian in the street and tells him she is his mother! Later she asks him to come and live with her in the wild, like a true wolfblood. Deep in the woods Ceri teaches Rhydian about living in the wild and a special skill wild wolfbloods use to connect themselves with nature, Eolas. Rhydian has never experienced anything like Eolas and spends the night in the wild with his mother. He decides to leave with her, to find out more about where he comes from and who he really is.

Episode 11
Monday 15th October 2012

Rhydian starts dabbling with his Eolas powers in school and showing off to his friends. Maddy can’t understand how he is doing it, as the tricks go far beyond his wolfblood senses and speed. He shares the secret with Maddy, who runs off joyously using her new skills without hearing the downside he shouts after her: you can’t cross electrical fields whilst using it or it causes immense pain – something she finds out the hard way!

When Rhydian takes Maddy home her mum is furious at what she’s been doing, but her dad is far more understanding and later Maddy finds him trying to access Eolas himself. Emma ends up forbidding a defiant Maddy from seeing Rhydian outside school, but when she storms off using her new powers once again she lands herself in trouble and needs her parents’ help!

Episode 12
Tuesday 16th October 2012

Once again it is the day of the full moon and Maddy and Rhydian aren’t looking forward to a night in the den. They trick her parents and lock them in, running off to the woods to change under the full moon.

Meanwhile, Shannon has been trying to forget about the beast by throwing herself into other interests, but when handsome beast hunter Kyle Weathers arrives in town looking for her, she is soon back on side!

Out in the woods, Maddy and Rhydian are drawn by Kyle’s bait and he shoots them with a tranquiliser gun, captures them and plans to sell them! Shannon realises too late that Kyle isn’t her soul mate and she and Tom race after him to try and rescue the wolves.

Episode 13
Monday 22nd October 2012

Shannon is worried about the wolves and their safety; now people know they exist, they may be hunted. She plans to inform the Department of the Environment so they can protect the wolves, but first needs proof that the wolves exist and she knows how to get it – Kyle’s wolfbait!

Meanwhile, Rhydian is being tracked in the woods by his brother Bryn, who has just found out from his mother that he exists. Rhydian takes him to his foster parents’ house, but it’s the first time Bryn has ever been in a human house and he knocks over lots of things by mistake, meaning they have to run away.

Now Shannon and Tom are in terrible danger in the woods as they are tracking a feral Ceri and Bryn with wolfbait. They are driven wild by the smell, and Maddy has to escape from her house to try to rescue her friends. She gets there just in time, but to save them she has to transform in front of them. The secret is out, and life will never be the same again. What will become of Maddy, Rhydian and her family?
