The BBC has released a trailer for Citizen Khan, BBC One's new family-based sitcom set in the capital of British Pakistan - Sparkhill, Birmingham.

Created and co-written by Adil Ray, the six-part series follows the trials and tribulations of loud-mouthed, tight-fisted, self-appointed community leader Mr Khan and his long suffering family, wife Mrs Khan and daughters Shazia and Alia.

Episode 1 airs at 10.20pm on Monday 27th August on BBC One.
