ITV1 has released a teaser for the upcoming second series of medical drama Monroe.

James Nesbitt returns as neurosurgeon Gabriel Monroe for six new episodes alongside Sarah Parish (Cutting It) as cardiac surgeon Jenny Bremner, with two major new additions to the cast who will "challenge Monroe's world in significant ways".

Created by writer Peter Bowker (Desperate Romantics), Series 1 launched on ITV1 last year.
