Channel 4 has announced that the new series of Utopia will begin later this month.

The conspiracy thriller returns with a double-bill over two nights at 10pm on Monday 14 July and Tuesday 15 July on Channel 4.

Series 2 opens with a flashback episode set in the 1970s, starring Rose Leslie (Game of Thrones) as a young version of Geraldine James’s character Milner, alongside Tom Burke (The Hour) as Philip Carvel – author of the Utopia manuscript.

Original cast members Fiona O’Shaughnessy (Jessica Hyde), Alexandra Roach (Becky), Nathan Stewart-Jarrett (Ian), Adeel Akhtar (Wilson Wilson), Oliver Woollford (Grant), Paul Higgins (Dugdale), Neil Maskell (Arby) and Geraldine James (Milner) all returning.
