The long-running crime drama will return with Emilia Fox and David Caves in 2014.

Last week’s Series 16 finale saw actor William Gaminara depart the show, having played Forensic Pathologist, Professor Leo Dalton since 2002.

Series 16 has attracted a consolidated series average of 7.4 million viewers with a 25.5% share.
