Toby Whithouse teases new ‘Doctor Who’ episode

Posted Filed under

Speaking to BBC America’s Anglophenia blog to promote the fourth series of Being Human, Whithouse teased: “Well, certainly on this series, the episodes are much more stand-alone [than Being Human] and, in a way, more distinct from each other… My episode is in a genre I’ve never written before — frankly, no one has written in that genre for quite a while now. But I absolutely love it.”

He continued: “Steven [Moffat] gives me a one-line pitch, and then I’ll go away and put together a story and so on. And he gave me a great one-line pitch for this, so I’m really excited about it.”

Series 4 of Being Human begins on BBC America at 9/8c tonight and continues on BBC Three tomorrow night at 9pm with A Spectre Calls.

Whithouse’s previous Doctor Who episodes include Series 2’s School Reunion and Series 5’s The Vampires of Venice.
