Pleasing to see Matt Smith’s continuing success. Certainly makes a pointed retort to all of the naysayers who thought Tennant would have a great career post Who but Smith would struggle when in fact it has turned out exactly the opposite. Real talent will always be recognised over flash-in-the pan. Looking forward to this and the Terminator franchise as well. Smith is a massively charismatic actor and never turns in less than a well thought out and meticulous performance even in lesser material.

Matt is a wonderful actor and looks set to have a huge international career. I hope he has time to return to Doctor Who as he and Peter would be epic together. Maybe for Children in Need they can do a skit with just these two and I bet offscreen that they would get on like a house on fire too. Makes me kind of wish that we had Peter instead of David in Day of the Doctor as it would have made for a better contrast. David was a good doctor but gosh his acting was really terrible in Day of the Doctor and he was outacted by Matt in every scene together. It also really showed up how vain and arrogant Doctor 10 was. I think people forget that because Matt was so adorable, sweet and humble in the role.
