Filming start date confirmed for new James Bond movie

The 24th James Bond film will begin filming later this year, with Daniel Craig playing 007 for a fourth time.

Principal photography on the follow-up to Skyfall has been confirmed to start on 6 December 2014, MI6 HQ reports.

Sam Mendes will return to direct the movie, which will be released in UK cinemas on 23 October 2015.

Returning cast members include Ben Whishaw (The Hour) as Q, Ralph Fiennes (Harry Potter) as M, Naomie Harris (Accused) as Eve Moneypenny and Rory Kinnear (Penny Dreadful) as Bill Tanner.

The movie’s script is written by Penny Dreadful creator John Logan, with long-term Bond writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade.

The main cast members will meet for a table read-through of the shooting script at Pinewood in late November.

Locations are rumoured to include Austria, Rome and Morocco, with studio filming taking place at Pinewood Studios in the UK.
