Fear the Walking Dead Season 3: Show pays tribute to deceased stuntman

The mood at this year’s panels for Fear the Walking Dead and its parent show was understandably more sombre this year, following the recent on-set death of stuntman John Bernecker.

The show stopped to pay tribute to Bernecker, before teasing the second half of its third season due to air in September before The Walking Dead returns at the end of the following month. Fans were treated to a new trailer for upcoming episodes, which you can watch below.

Robert Kirkman once again teased the possibility of a crossover, saying: “It something we’d like to do eventually.”

Season three will be showrunner Dave Erickson’s final, with Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg taking over for the show’s fourth season.

“It gets darker and bloodier than I think we’ve seen [it] before,” Erickson told TVLine. “There’s a bit of a catastrophe by the end of the season that will have a huge impact on every one of the characters.”

Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Colman Domingo, Mercedes Mason, Sam Underwood, Daniel Sharman and Michael Greyeyes were all present at the panel.

Fear the Walking Dead airs on AMC Global in the UK.
