Alex Kingston has promised that Doctor Who‘s upcoming Series 6 finale will feature another “big revelation about River”.

‘The Wedding of River Song’ will air at 7.05pm on Saturday 1st October on BBC One.

The actress told Doctor Who Magazine: “Towards the end of this episode, we have one of the most exciting sequences we’ve ever done.”

She teased: “While this battle is going on, there are scenes between the Doctor, River, Amy and Rory where the final jigsaw pieces are put in place. Let’s put it this way: there’s a big revelation about River, and River gets a big revelation about the Doctor…”

In shops now, Issue 439 of Doctor Who Magazine features a preview of the Series 6 finale and interviews with Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill, David Walliams and writers Tom MacRae and Gareth Roberts.

The penultimate episode of Series 6, ‘Closing Time’, will air tomorrow at 7.10pm on BBC One.
