Merlin star Katie McGrath has been cast in Sky Living's new Dracula drama.

Based on Bram Stoker’s classic novel, the ten-part series is a co-production with NBCUniversal and stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers (The Tudors) as Dracula.

McGrath's character will be Lucy Westenra, described as "aristocratic London’s sexy, social butterfly who has a penchant for gossip, flirting and all things glamorous".

Lucy is a friend of Dracula’s muse, Mina Murray (Arrow’s Jessica De Gouw) and "gradually becomes entwined in a web of lies, lust and temptation that challenges the boundaries of their relationship".
