The BBC have confirmed that period legal drama Garrow's Law has been axed.

Inspired by the life of the pioneering 18th-century barrister, the series starred Andrew Buchan, Mark Letheren, Lyndsey Marshal, Rupert Graves and Alun Armstrong.

A spokeswoman for BBC One commented: "BBC1 will screen more than 20 new dramas this year, but Garrow’s Law will not be returning," RadioTimes.com report.

Series 3 concluded on BBC One last December.
