New BBC One spy drama 'Nemesis' is 'dynamic, tough, sexy', promises star

Grey's Anatomy star Melissa George has revealed that she is "pumped" after watching an early edit of Nemesis, BBC One's new contemporary spy series.

George will play Sam, a "highly skilled operative for an elite private intelligence firm", in the eight-part series, alongside Adam Rayner (Mistresses) as her colleague and love interest.

The Australian actress tweeted: "Just saw rough cut of my new @HBO @bbc1 drama. NOW I am pumped! Ohyeahohyeahohyeah! Morocco, london, Scotland...dynamic, tough, sexy.FAST." (sic)

She added that the series will air "mid to end of [the] year".

Written by Frank Spotnitz, best known for writing nearly 50 episodes of The X Files, Nemsis began filming last November and is produced by the makers of Spooks.
