A new set of images from the next episode of BBC One’s The Musketeers have been unveiled.

Inspired by Alexandre Dumas’s legendary characters, the ten-part adventure drama series continues at 9pm on Sunday 2 February on BBC One, starring Luke Pasqualino (Skins) as D’Artagnan, Santiago Cabrera (Merlin) as Aramis, Tom Burke (The Hour) as Athos, Howard Charles as Porthos and Doctor Who star Peter Capaldi as Cardinal Richelieu.

Episode 3 sees the Musketeers dispatched to Le Havre to collect the infamous merchant trader and explorer Bonnaire and bring him back to Paris to be reprimanded for breaking France’s trade treaty. Athos is shockingly forced to confront his past, which threatens to engulf him. Will he overcome his demons and help the Musketeers safely return to Paris, or will Bonnaire’s enemies get the better of them?
