The first promotional images for BBC One’s new thriller One of Us have been released.

Set in the Highlands of Scotland and Edinburgh, the four-part series is written by Harry and Jack Williams, the creators of The Missing.

One of Us sees a horrific double murder rock the lives of two families living side by side in rural Scotland. But instead of focussing on the investigation, the drama explores the fallout for the grieving relatives, and the dark consequences that threaten to shatter their lives.

The cast includes Juliet Stevenson (The Village), Joanna Vanderham (The Paradise), Laura Fraser (Breaking Bad), John Lynch (The Fall), Adrian Edmondson (War And Peace), Georgina Campbell (Murdered By My Boyfriend), Joe Dempsie (Skins), Julie Graham (Shetland), Gary Lewis (Filth), Steve Evets (Rev) and Kate Dickie (Game Of Thrones).

Juliet Stevenson commented last year: “I’m thrilled to be playing Louise in One Of Us as she is such an intriguing character. When I read the first script, it immediately gripped me as it’s such a unique and compelling story. I can’t wait to start filming in Scotland.”

Joanna Vanderham added: “I am very excited to start work on this character-led drama. The arresting Scottish landscape is the perfect setting for Jack and Harry’s clever and brave script.”
