American TV network CBS has released a new poster for Elementary, their upcoming contemporary Sherlock Holmes series.
Following a pilot directed by Michael Cuesta (Homeland), it was announced last month that a full series has been ordered.
The poster's tagline reads: "Obsessive. Impulsive. Volatile. Bloody Brilliant."
Elementary will air in the US on Thursdays at 10pm on CBS this autumn. A UK broadcaster has not yet been announced.
In an official synopsis released by the network, Jonny Lee Miller's Sherlock Holmes and Lucy Liu's Dr Joan Watson are described as "a crime-solving duo that cracks the NYPD’s most impossible cases".
Miller has insisted that Elementary wil differ from BBC One's Sherlock: "Yeah, you obviously you look at it and say, 'Wait a second...' But I feel there’s enough differences there. I thought I could do something with it; otherwise, there’d be no point."
