This year’s Doctor Who Christmas special, The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe, will air at 7pm on Christmas Day on BBC One, guest starring Outnumbered‘s Claire Skinner and comedian Bill Bailey.

Sarah Phelps’s (Oliver Twist, EastEnders) three-part take on Dickens’ classic novel, Great Expectations, begins at 9pm on Tuesday 27th December on BBC One, starring Gillian Anderson (The X Files) and Douglas Booth.
